About Us

Grab a cool drink, have a seat and browse a while. Be sure to bookmark our site and come back often. We strive to have current BBQ cookoff information for all of our events, as well as results and photos from past cookoffs.

The Lone Star Barbecue Society exists to foster and promote the furthering and appreciation of the State Food of Texas – BBQ!

The Lone Star Barbecue Society sanctions competition BBQ cookoffs, and provides fair rules and fair judging for all contestants who participate.

If you are interested in having The Lone Star Barbecue Society sanction your cookoff, please print and complete the LSBS Sanctioning Form. All instructions are on the form. We look forward to working with you for a successful cookoff!
